June 4-8

I am sorry for taking so long to write.  It seems the days go by so fast and then I get tired.  The weather has been cooler and we had a very wet and cold day on Fri.  We went to have a bible study with a girl named Treasure.  Her mother, Stephanie, studies with Crystal and they all attend mtgs along with the son, Ryan.  Treasure studies with Merieka usually,  but she was out of town.  It takes close to an hour to get to the study by bus, train,and walking....you have to cross the river to get to their house.  It was pouring rain when we went, but not too bad.  After the study we waited for a bus probably an hour but finally it comes.  There must have been at least 20 people waiting and they were not happy....it unloads its passengers and closes the doors and takes off with no explanation...now they want to riot!  I wish I could understand all that was said.  Finally another bus comes and we are able to head home.  As we head into Lisbon we can see that the whole city is one big traffic jam.  I guess the rain caused all the back up. 
Sat. we went to mtg and thought not many would be there because a sister in the cong. got married and the wedding was out of town a little ways.  Apparently some went to the wedding but not the reception, so it wasn't  too bad....had alot of opportunity to comment.
Today we went shopping and each bought a skirt.  We went to lunch at a little place we saw a while back and thought we would like to have lunch there some time.  A big disappointment!  We thought we ordered salmon filets, but it was a croquette with very little salmon in it and expensive for what you got.  The service was terrible too.  We have found that in many shops and restaurants the people are very rude...like they are doing you a favor to help you. I was looking for sandles this week and a girl who works there was probably the rudest person that I have dealt with....not sure of the reason why.
We have the circuit overseer this next week and the temperature is going to reach 90.  I don't look forward to that!  We have mtgs Mon thru Thurs evening so it will be a tiring week.  Then!!!  Italy!!!
