On Mon I met this beautiful young sister for field service...9:30 in the morning. We met in my territory and walked to the street we were to work. I knew I wasn't feeling my best, but an hour into it I was very ill again and had to go home. Elisabeth, the young sister who was born the same year as Brooke, practically carried me home. It's not that I needed to be carried home, but she wouldn't let go of me until she had me inside the apt. The Portuguese are a very caring people and if you are older they are very protective. I was thankful that I had scheduled a dr appt for Tues. We went to see Minnie Freudenthal...what a name!
She was educated in the US so spoke good English. We got her name from the US embassy website. We had no idea where we were going so took a taxi. She was very helpful and this they did a culture of my urine so they can treat it better. I got more prescriptions, so hopefully I will begin to feel better. We walked to the metro station and went home.
Once we got home Claudia said "you won't believe this but I think I have a bladder infection!" We called Minnie back and she told her to take the same medication. I didn't know we were that simpatico!
Hope we will both be feeling better soon.
